Grief is normal. We are all connected and it is within this connection that we are vulnerable to others. The natural and normal byproduct of these connections is to experience a sense of loos when a connection disappears. This is grief.
Grief is important to allow us to move forward, move into something new and celebrate the connection that we had to that person. It is a journey that you cannot walk with anyone else…this process is unique to you in that you alone understand the connection that existed.
As bystanders, we serve our friends by reminding them of those things that are yet to come. We are necessary, we are valuable and we need to ensure that they know they are not alone. That we are here…we are waiting.
